Terry Cubero has started a new and important resource for Pilot Butte. It's a "MeetUp Group" called Pilot Butte Movers & Shakers. Find out about it by CLICKING HERE.
As you'll see, almost everyone who uses Pilot Butte State Park should join Terry's new group. It's completely free, takes all of about a minute to join, has no downside that I can see, and will keep you
dialed in to everything Pilot Butte with little effort on your part. Plus, if you want to make something happen at Pilot Butte, nothing could be easier than this. This MeetUp would have saved us tons of time when we created SMB. In the future, all Butte events will be advertised first to Terry's group (at least they should be).
MeetUp is a worldwide phenomenon. There are over 9,000 groups in the U.S. and over 60 groups in Bend alone. What MeetUp does is help people get together to do things. It also keeps people informed about things that are happening. Its extremely simple and, unlike many MeetUp Groups, this one is free to join.
To give you an idea of how much people love these groups, consider this. There are two general hiking MeetUp groups in Bend with over 1,700 members. Those members pay up to $10 each year to keep their memberships going. It has to be worthwhile if that many people are paying to join and then continue paying year after year.
Let's help Terry get this thing off the ground fast. Join today and then tell all your Pilot Butte friends about it. This is going to be great for Pilot Butte. People will be organizing things like wildflower walks, birding expeditions, hikes of all types, races, dances, picnics, and many other things. The only limit will be people's imaginations.
