Last Day For Founding Members--Great Conversation With Ryan McHugh

Just a reminder that Friday is the last day to become a Founding Member of PBSS/SMB. I think everyone pretty much knows that.  The energy that so many brought to this process is just way encouraging.  We had a person calling from out of state saying , "Can you hold a membership for me and I'll stop by as soon as I get back?"  Another person paid for two friends that won't be back until
next week.  Yesterday it seemed like there was always someone outside at our picnic table filling out the form.  It's kind of hard to watch this phase come to an end.  But the next phase is going to be great too.  First, there's nothing wrong with being a Charter Member, especially since we actually have the buttons for those memberships in hand.  But this next phase is important for another reason and we'll be announcing that very soon.  It's all going to be even more cool than it already is for all of our members.

On another note, I had a pleasant conversation today with Ryan McHugh, the President of Pilot Butte Partners (PBP).  He's such a nice man and he brought me up to date with his family (new baby) and his work as a financial adviser which I find fascinating, especially these days. Anyway, we did finally get around to talking about the two organizations: PBP and PBSS.  It was great because we've all been so busy in so many different ways that we weren't communicating as much as we should have.  We talked about how everyone who is doing good things for Pilot Butte needs to actively support and encourage everyone else, how we might work together on some specific projects in the future, and things like that.  He even asked me to serve on one of his committees.  It also sounds like both organizations will be getting together this winter to make sure we're all on the same page and doing all we can to help the Butte.  Kind of uplifting in one of those it-could-only-happen-on-the-Butte sort of ways!

Hats off once again to PBP and hats off to everyone who has been so supportive of PBSS through our membership drive.
