First, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Now a bit of an apology. We knew that we were in a time crunch when we scheduled this workshop. We have a lot of things in a holiday season time crunch, trying to be respectful of everyone's holiday season while doing things we feel need to be done given the timeline leading up to SMB 2014.
Maybe the best example is this workshop. It could be fit no place else but the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. When I said Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT) saved the day, I was very serious because if
they didn't help us when they did, the workshop would have had to wait until January which could be well into winter. My apology is this: In this time crunch involving a lot of other things, we've had to set aside some of the ways we planned to promote the workshop. So you might not see 150 people there as we planned but it will be well attended. Most important, the workshop should be very good because we've chosen to make certain of that with the time we have. In other words, we decided that the quality of the workshop is more important than the number of people attending. Both are very important, but it does't make sense to sacrifice quality over numbers.
If you have time, maybe you can help spread the word. We are set up to accommodate 150 people. No problem there. We just don't have time to spread the word the way we hoped. So telling a friend helps. Telling two friends helps even more. You get the idea. Then, whether we have 50 people or 150 people, its going to be a great workshop and, thanks to CVT, you can get these $42 Icetrekkers for 21 bucks. How cool is that?
