Several Important Updates

Here are several important updates:
  1. Last 5 Days to Become a "Founding Member:  The last day to become a founding member is Friday, Nov. 15th.  After that, all members for SMB 2014 are "Charter Members."  It's now easier than ever to become a member.  Stop by our RV (host site) and you are done in minutes. CLICK HERE to become a member online. The response has been amazing.  We are very close to having enough money to cover ALL upfront costs of SMB 2014.  As I write this, we are only 15 members shy of 100.  Thank you everyone for helping make SMB 2014 a reality!
  2. The Friday @ 9:00 Trail Crew is Switching to Weekends: Based on input they received, the Friday Trail Crew has decided to switch to Saturday @ 9:00.  They tell me that there are people interested who can't make it on Fridays.  The trails on the Butte need so much help that it seems worth making a slight change in a 20 year tradition.  They will be working on the Nature Trail this Saturday after doing an outstanding job on the Base Trail.  CLICK HERE for more information.
  3. Killer's Photo Day Was a Success: The photographers got us a bunch of pictures and also figured some things out for the future.  On that level, the day was a big success.  Turnout wasn't as good as Dick (aka, "Killer") had hoped, but the plan is to do it again and to do it other ways as well.  We'll post more about that later.  We hope to have the pictures available online within a week.  Everyone will be able to download them.  We know that PBSS/SMB will want to use some of the pictures and we are hoping that Pilot Butte Partners and other groups will as well.  There will also be a way to claim a photo or two for exclusive use.  So, for example, if a group wants to work a photo into their website design, there will be a way to do that without someone else doing the same thing with that photo.  Thanks Killer for getting the ball rolling on what is turning out to be an important new tradition on Pilot Butte.
