Can Things Get Any Better Than This?

We've got stories for the book coming in, new members signing up daily, surprise donations that are helping people become members who otherwise couldn't afford it, lots of positive buzz, and we keep making new connections that are helping us achieve goals both now and down the road.  People just keep stepping forward saying, "I have this skill and I'd like to help."  Fortunately, we are organized well enough to be able to get most of these people involved pretty fast.  A short while back we had about 10 year round volunteers.  I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 20 pretty soon.  Its all happening so fast that it
seems like the days before SMB 2013 all over again.  On top of that, we've had some big name people with important skills step forward to advise us.  That couldn't have come at a better time because, with so much going on, we can definitely use that type of help.

This just all reaffirms the feelings we had when all of this started.  There is definitely something exceptional about Pilot Butte.  Much of that has to do with all of the amazing people who come out day after day using its trails.  Whether you know a lot of people or you don't, it doesn't seem to matter because its nearly impossible to take a hike on the Butte without feeling uplifted.  If things are this good heading into winter, can you imagine what things will be like next spring when we celebrate all of this at SMB 2014?   I can't and I'm one of the keepers of the vision for SMB/PBSS. What I do know is I can't wait to see what happens.
